Kenalog is a long-acting aqueous suspension of triamcinolone acetonide for systemic and local use. It is a synthetic corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory, immunosuppressive, anti-itching, and anti-allergic effects. The medicine does not cause hypertension (high blood pressure). It inhibits the pituitary gland slightly less than other corticosteroids at equivalent doses. Kenalog is used to treat rheumatic diseases (rheumatoid arthritis, non-articular rheumatism), allergic, and skin diseases.
